2 Down. 1 to go! Join us for Storytellers DC on Nov. 10 2016

If you can’t tell from the New York Storytellers crew, we’re pretty excited about how our 4th Annual Storytellers events are going!

I hope you were one of the 35,000-plus viewers who tuned in to Storytellers NY at HBO and Storytellers LA at the Television Academy on Facebook Live. If so, you’ve seen how Got Your 6 is leading the way to change the veteran narrative from “broken hero” to “civic asset.” My fellow veterans are sharing their unique stories, each confirming exactly what we already know: that veterans are the leaders and civic assets our country has been searching for!

Storytellers has already been featured by FOX News, Task & Purpose, We Are The Mighty, and the Fresno Bee, and it is making the rounds on social media:

If you want to catch Storytellers in person, you’re in luck. For the first time, Got Your 6 is bringing Storytellers to Washington, D.C., at Discovery Communications on Nov. 10. Two days after we elect a new Commander in Chief, Got Your 6 Storytellers will be uniting the country with genuine stories of leadership and inspiration. Please RSVP here today!

If you want to get a taste of what Storytellers is really about, watch Ed Woodward’s emotional story, shared at Storytellers NY. I hope you are as inspired as I am to hear his and other powerful stories from brothers and sisters in arms who overcame adversity to be leaders in their communities.

While Storytellers isn’t possible without the support of Got Your 6’s amazing partners, I want to specifically thank our presenting sponsors Macy’s and Wounded Warrior Project. I also want to thank Veterans United Foundation, Aspen Dental and American Express along with Sword & Plough, NFLPA, General Dynamics, and Barbaricum. Also, special thanks to our hosts: HBO, The Television Academy, and Discovery Communications. Sharing genuine stories is always easier at home, and each of you make us feel like we’re with friends.

As we work to change the way Americans think about our veterans, Storytellers reminds me why veterans can be the solution to nearly every problem facing our great nation. Don’t pity us; empower us, and watch us lead a resurgence of community across the country!
One team, one fight.
